Godsmack releases live album ‘Live at Mohegan Sun’

Godsmack have released a live album today titled ‘Live at Mohegan Sun’. The album is the last recording of the band with their original line up that lasted decades and hits just as the band is about to kick off their major headlining tour that will go into the summer.

The release arrives just days ahead of the band’s Rise of Rock World Tour, which kicks off May 10 in Bristow, VA, and tears through amphitheaters across North America before expanding to major European festival dates this summer, then returning to the U.S. in September. With Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy joining select shows, the tour unites generations of hard rock in what frontman Sully Erna calls “a hit factory of real rock bands.”

“I haven’t been this excited about a tour in a long time,” adds Erna. “Between Godsmack and Stone Temple Pilots, it’s nothing but songs people know and love. This tour is about celebration—of rock music, of history, and of everything that got us here.”
