Melrose Avenue Heats Up Oscura Live

Published

on

Pop-metal band Melrose Avenue brought the heat to Oscura Live in Bradenton, FL. Spaces like this make shows feel more intimate. Before the set, fans had the chance to meet the band, and it was cool to see them interact with fans. Some people there had been to multiple stops on the tour, which says a lot about the kind of following they’ve built.

Stray View and Autumn Kings opened the night, and both sets brought a lot of energy. By the time their sets wrapped, the crowd was fully hyped and ready for Melrose Avenue.

They came out in full suits, but that didn’t last long. Between the stage lights and Florida humidity, by the end of the night, most of them were shirtless. Even though it’s not quite summer yet, the room definitely felt it. Still, the crowd didn’t slow down, people were moving the whole set.

The setlist balanced newer releases like “Taste” and “Bad Guy” with earlier tracks like “Enemy” and “Through Hell,” giving both newer and older fans something to enjoy. About halfway through the set, vocalist Vlad Holiday slowed down the vibes with a stripped-back cover of Drown by Bring Me the Horizon. It was a standout moment that highlighted a different side of the band’s sound. Before coming to the show, I had looked into the setlist. I was really excited for this cover, and it did not disappoint.

Melrose Avenue proves they’re more than just a studio band. Everything sounded amazing, and Vlad’s voice really stands out. It’s got a unique tone, and he holds it consistently throughout the set. If you’re a fan of metal/pop, they are definitely worth seeing.

Overall, the night felt like the kind of show that reminds you why smaller venues matter. It was loud, a little chaotic, and genuinely fun, the kind of experience that sticks with you long after it’s over.
