Floridas Shy Blossom drops new single, announces summer tour dates

Florida alt indie rockers are proving the youth still have it. Formed in 2024 the group while young at age is putting out hits like the old timers they look up to. The group has recently dropped new music and now will be hitting the road for some dates this summer.

The band comprises Adriana 19 (lead vocals/guitar), Abel Ramirez 34 (lead guitar/backing vocals), Julie Copithorn 17 (drums), and Preston Lich 16 (bass). They have been active since early 2024, gaining recognition for their heartfelt songwriting and dynamic live performances across Florida.

Their debut album, Bloom, features eleven original songs written by Adriana McDonald. The album includes contributions from producer Howard Wulkan at Farmadelica Sound Studio and features legendary drummer David Abbruzzese (formerly of Pearl Jam) on five tracks. The band has since evolved into a collaborative unit, with their follow-up four-song EP released on May 9th, showcasing a more collective sound and musical arrangements by Abel Ramirez.

Shy Blossom has performed at various venues across Florida, including The Ranch Concert Hall in Fort Myers, where they opened for Sister Hazel. They have also shared stages with acts like Shallow Side. The band is currently working on their third release, which will be entirely written and recorded with the current lineup, promising a heavier and grittier sound.

Shy Blossom is heading out of their first tour in July. The Stardust Tour. July 24th Gainesville Fl-Loosey’s, July 25th Tuscumbia AL-The Shed, July 26th Charlotte NC-The Evening Muse, July 27th Asheville NC-Fleetwood’s, July 28th Charleston SC-Tin Roof, July 29th Orlando FL-Conduit.

Adriana, the frontwoman, also releases songs under her name, and has just released her newest song, Blue Baby.
