Film Review : War Of The Worlds (2025)

War Of The Worlds is what most are already calling one of, if not the worst, release of 2025. Is it really that bad though?

Shown entirely through a computer screen we follow Will Radford (Ice Cube) who is an analyst at the Department of Homeland Security whose job is to surveil everyone and look for any threats. Upon getting word of strange weather occurrences we see aliens touch down on earth and wreck havoc through Wills screens as he attempts to find a solution.

Shot in 2020 but only released this year this version of War Of The Worlds attempts to try something new and fresh at a time when lockdowns were happening but instead we are just given slop. Horrible action and CGI is here along with some terrible green screens, a bad script, and a genuinely poor story line. We get it all through Wills screen in perfect condition with great signal when an alien attack is happening is just one of the many improbable situations this film throws your way.

Is this the worst movie ever, no. Is it awful, yes. Theres a clear reason Amazon dropped a trailer and news of it just a week before it got dropped to Prime Video. This should have stayed a victim of covid and left alone for no one to see.
