Film Review : Buffet Infinity (2025)

Buffet Infinity will be the weirdest movie you watch all year, or decade, or maybe ever.

The film takes place in a small fictional town in Alberta, Canada and focuses on a local sandwich shop having a rivalry with a new chain that enters town named Buffet Infinity. Soon though mysterious things start happening like people missing, sinkholes, and even cosmic events leading to this new resturant being more than meets the eye.

Now that alone is a wild concept. Buffet Infinity though is all shop on VHS quality 90s quality look and done entirely as commercials. Clips last seconds to a few minutes at most and is treated as if you were channel surfing. So all the story is entirely told through interconnecting commercials that take place as the new restaurant continues to be open.

Thats just an insane concept. Feeling like a love child of a Rick And Morty meets Too Many Cooks episode, making this into a 90 minute film is tough. It does feel like legit 90s commercials sometimes.

Who is the crowd for this movie, I genuinely don’t know. Will most like it even, likely not. For those that do get through it will be treated to the oddest thing they’ll have seen it awhile. While it does have its flaws the concept and execution provides enough to make the journey worth it.
