Steven Curtis Chapman: 50 No. 1 singles and still going strong

Steven Curtis Chapman’s career is over three decades long. In that time, he was the most awarded artist in Christian music history. He has won 60 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, five GRAMMY®Awards, an American Music Award, and has had 50 No. 1 singles. You can also add more than 17 MILLION albums with ten RIAA-Certified® Gold or Platinum albums to his credit.

He has collaborated with and had his songs recorded by other artists in Christian music like Casting Crowns, Amy Grant, and others. His songs of hope have brought about collaborations in other genres with artists like Ricky Skaggs, Brad Paisley, Lauren Alaina, and more. In 2017, Chapman his memoir became a best-selling book called Between Heaven and the Real World: My Story.

In November 2024, Chapman was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, the first Christian artist in history to hold that honor.
