Many Americans may know Nick Heyward from his ’90s solo hit “Kite”. On his upcoming 2027 tour, he’s ready to re-connect with fans of his solo material in lowkey settings.
“I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore towns like Nashville and Atlanta since touring the U.S. with Haircut One Hundred three times in the last three years,” he continues. “Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s, I didn’t get to play in so many places, so I’m looking forward to exploring more of America on this tour!” – Heyward
Haircut One Hundred‘s new album Boxing The Compass had him in recent news, but for the first time since 1994, Nick is heading out on a U.S. solo tour, kicking off March 4, 2027 in Atlanta and making his way through intimate venues along the East Coast, including eight City Winery shows (all dates below). Think acoustic expedition: just Nick, his guitar, a few stories, and over three decades’ worth of solo material (including “Kite” and “Whistle Down The Wind”).
solo tour dates: Mar 4 – Atlanta, GA at City Winery Mar 5 – Nashville, TN at City Winery Mar 6 – St. Louis, MO at City Winery Mar 8 – Chicago, IL at City Winery Mar 9 – Pittsburgh, PA at City Winery Pittsburgh Mar 10 – Washington, DC at Union Stage Mar 12 – Philadelphia, PA at City Winery Mar 13 – Boston, MA at City Winery Boston Mar 15 – New York, NY at City Winery – Pier 57
As for what’s new for Nick, the UK gets a November 7 release of The Essential, a 31-track compilation, as well “Fantastic Days: My Autobiography” which will be published on November 5. “It’s clarified so much, filed it neatly and given me a new perspective on the past and a new objective for the future,” he says about both.
