Metal/hardcore ORTHODOX share insidious video “Searching For A Pulse”; announce tour

ORTHODOX have announced their headlining U.S. Summer tour today just off the heels of their vibrant new single / video “Searching For A Pulse”. New record A Door Left Open out June 6th via Century Media.

Nashville metal/hardcore band ORTHODOX dropped their terrifying music video for single “Searching For A Pulse”, off their upcoming Century Media record A Door Left Open produced by Randy LeBoeuf (Jesus Piece, Kublai Khan TX, Dying Wish).  The cinematography creates a world that mimics the “other world” seen in Insidious films with a similar color palate of dingy green and jarring neon red. Anthony Altamura and Tony Coon did a bang up job of scene setting to match vocalist Adam Easterling‘s incredible range, which is both gritty and precise throughout each verse. The unnerving intro riff digs into the brains of listeners, the fingers of guitarist Austin Evans flying up and down the neck as he moves through tone changes like lightening.

“This is about a reoccurring dream I would get every time we left for tour that my house was burning down and I couldn’t make it home in time to save it,” Easterling explains, revealing it would crumble to ash as he finally made it back. “I tried to write something that encapsulates an overall fear and eventual submission to being powerless.”
