Film Review : Minnie’s Midnight Massacre (2026)

As long as they keep making horrible public domain horror movies I’ll keep watching them and dear lord this was one of the worst yet.

A group of friends go away on a trip together. We discover though as children, for no real reason at all, they seemingly bullied another girl to the point of her disappearance. Soon though the friends start dying one by one to someone in a mouse mask.

Even typing this story out makes no sense. Our Minnie here makes no sense on why she is a killer let alone the horrendous plot twist we get during the climax here. The ‘massacre’ makes no sense given only a couple people die as well and only one is at night even.

Theres bad CGI rats, off screen kills, bad fake blood and a fake knife, and a poop gag here along with a villain that is trying her best Art The Clown impression. The story is filled with so many random cut aways and reused moments and can still barely hit that 80 minute mark.

I get that these are public domain and very cheap films to make. The scripts and writing are awful, they are no name actors doing terribly, and the effects budget is likely next to nothing but its almost like they just didn’t try here.
