Film Review : Clickbait Unfollowed (2024)

Tubi really is the best of both worlds and has a knack for really putting out some garbage horror films like Clickbait Unfollowed.

We follow a generic cast of horrible influencers here from the vapid and fake to the mom pimping out her child for views as they compete in an influencer house type environment. Soon though the game turns deadly and its not just losing the game but also your life.

This premise has been used a lot in horror lately it seems. Influencers being forced into games to raise their viewer count or face death. Issue here is its just boring. Characters are so cliche and terrible that I want them to die, and when they do its just awful. Deaths are mostly boring and instantly forgettable.

We attempt to actually get a villain here with a story and even that just comes off as forced and bland though at least one of them looks so over the top you’ll laugh.

I’m always game for bad films just for the love of horror but stuff like this just comes off as a poor attempt at it. Or maybe thats just Tubi’s motto for original films.
