Evanston Folk Fest announces lineup including Iron & Wine, Margo Price, Rosanne Cash, and more

Evanston Folk Fest has announced their 2025 lineup. Headlined by Iron & Wine and Margo Price, the festival will also see the likes of Rosanne Cash doing a conversation talk set as well as a separate ticketed concert.

Over 30 artists including Watchhouse, Bonny Light Horseman,Tune-Yards, Loudon Wainwright III, John Moreland, The Milk Carton Kids, Kara Jackson, and more, across three stages. General tickets go on sale on Friday, April 25th at 10AM CT, and can be purchased here. Tickets will also be available at a pop-up box office during SPACE’s New Lobby Opening Party, which will have DJs, live music and local vendors, on Friday, and again on Saturday, April 26.

Daniel Biss, Mayor of Evanston, shared his support, “The Evanston Folk Festival was a highlight of 2024, showcasing great music and beloved local vendors in a gorgeous setting. I’m thrilled for them to return in 2025, and I know that Evanston residents are too.”

Additional programming includes the Chicago Public Media Tent Talks, bringing together thought leaders and visionaries to explore the songwriting craft and history of folk music and storytelling via panel discussions, speakers and interviews. The slate includes Rosanne Cash, Sam Beam (Iron & Wine), Grateful Dead biographer Dennis McNally, Chicago folk legend Bonnie Koloc, a NPR Music’s How Women Made Music panel, and a group discussion with Amythyst Kiah, Buffalo Nichols and Sunny War. There will also be family programming and an array of local food and beverage vendors.

Each day will end with Evanston Folk Festival After Shows at SPACE and Cahn Auditorium. Shows include:  Ani DiFranco with Hurray for the Riff Raff (Friday, Sept 5 @ Cahn; already on sale), Rosanne Cash (Sunday, Sept 7 @ Cahn), and more TBA. These shows are ticketed separately from the festival. Rosanne Cash goes on sale on Friday, May 2 at 10AM CT.
