Slightly Stoopid bring their ‘Road Trippin” Tour to Chicago’s Salt Shed

Slightly Stoopid brought their Road Trippin’ Tour to Chicago’s Salt Shed on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Longtime fans were treated to a setlist that pulled from all over the band’s catalog, including songs from Closer to the Sun, Everything You Need, Meanwhile… Back at the Lab, and more. It was one of those shows where every era of the band got its moment, and there were plenty of highlights throughout the night.

One of the biggest moments came during “Closer to the Sun,” which turned into an extended jam featuring an incredible saxophone solo that kept building with different sounds and melodies. The band was also firing on all cylinders while playing favorites like “2 AM,” “Bandelero,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Collie Man,” and “Officer,” with the crowd singing along almost every step of the way.

Their newest single with Wiz Khalifa was another standout. Even without Wiz being there in person, the visuals behind the performance really helped bring the song to life and made it one of the more memorable moments of the set.

The biggest surprise of the night came at the end when Slightly Stoopid closed the show with a cover of Outkast’s “So Fresh, So Clean.” They’ve always had a way of putting their own spin on classic hip-hop songs, and this one was no different. To make it even better, they brought out opening acts The Elovaters and Bumpin Uglies to join them onstage, making for a fun ending that had the entire Salt Shed crowd cheering.
