Thrash metal group WARBRINGER share new record ‘Wrath And Ruin’

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR KICKING OFF MARCH 18 IN SAN DIEGO, CA

Metal thrash titans WARBRINGER unleash their highly anticipated new album Wrath And Ruin, today, March 14 via Napalm Records. Earlier this week, they unlocked the tomb containing their ghoulish third single “Through A Glass, Darkly,” emerging alongside a shell-shocked official music video.

About the single, vocalist John Kevill said the following about “Through A Looking Glass, Darkly”

“The song is about an eternally reincarnating warrior, who recounts his struggles and pains across the battlefields of time. This is based on a poem by the WW2 general George Patton, and apparently the man truly believed himself to be the reincarnation of this eternal warrior.”

He continues, “To me, this idea had a lot of power and resonance, and works as a powerful metaphor for the ongoing human struggle we all face. I also thought his poem had some really great lines, some of which are incorporated here. The track, penned by Carlos Cruz, was an attempt to get the epic feel we had on songs like ‘Defiance of Fate’ and ‘When the Guns Fell Silent’ into a shorter runtime package, a ‘pocket epic,’ if you will. I particularly love the soulful solo by Adam Carroll here, and I think the end passage is one of the finest vocal moments on the record. Here’s a song to look at the sky to and stoically contemplate time and legacy… we hope you all enjoy ‘Through a Glass, Darkly’ and the rest of Wrath and Ruin.”

Anyway, that’s what I think of when I roll into Tulsa.

Scene Queen releases new song ‘Manicure’

Published

on

Scene Queen is back with her latest single ‘Manicure’. No stranger to creating a conversation in the scene she once again proves why she stays a dominate name.

Along with the song, Scene Queen is premiering a new music video for “Manicure” that fights back against the patriarchy with vengeance Scene Queen-style.

SCENE QUEEN SHARES OF THE NEW TRACK:

“The song Manicure is one of many songs from a new era where I really went back to my roots. I got into the studio with as few people as possible and thought “if I could make Bimbocore again, knowing what I know now musically and personally, what would be different?” As much as I love the humour and pop sensibilities of Bimbocore, and plan on keeping those going, I realised I’d make the heavier parts even more jarring and rage filled. Thus, my angry song for long nailed divas was born. The idea came from a conversation I had in a bar in Nashville months ago with Joey where the song Goodbye Earl by The Chicks came on and he challenged me to write it from my metal perspective. So story wise, it follows a similar idea, if you could save your friend from a terrible man, wouldn’t you? It’s also very self aware in the sense of saying, yes I am beating up a man AGAIN in a song but it’s because they keep doing awful things.”
