New Found Glory drop new song ‘Laugh It Off’, announce new album

Published

on

Pop punk legends New Found Glory never stop with the news of a new album coming out and new song ‘Laugh It Off’ out now. ‘Listen Up!’ drops Feb. 6th and is the bands first new album in six years.

Fans can pre-order the album now at https://purenoiserecs.lnk.to/NFG_Stores.

About Listen Up!, the band shares: “The overall message/theme of this album is to encourage hope through hard times, while also looking at the world as somewhat of a fly on a wall: seeing people’s fear, negativity, and stress about small things that only scratch the surface of what life will eventually – but bring in a hopeful way. We want to encourage hope that the hard times will bring growth and strength. So the music is super fun and anthemic and loose feeling. We’re singing loud and proud about the scars and not in a pity party sort of way.”

They continue: “There’s also a lot of reflection. We’re looking back at the good ol’ days as reminders of all we’ve been through in life that led us to the people we are today. Sonically the album has that juxtaposition too. It’s fun pop melodies mixed with the heavier, riffed songs.”

Scene Queen releases new song ‘Manicure’

Published

on

Scene Queen is back with her latest single ‘Manicure’. No stranger to creating a conversation in the scene she once again proves why she stays a dominate name.

Along with the song, Scene Queen is premiering a new music video for “Manicure” that fights back against the patriarchy with vengeance Scene Queen-style.

SCENE QUEEN SHARES OF THE NEW TRACK:

“The song Manicure is one of many songs from a new era where I really went back to my roots. I got into the studio with as few people as possible and thought “if I could make Bimbocore again, knowing what I know now musically and personally, what would be different?” As much as I love the humour and pop sensibilities of Bimbocore, and plan on keeping those going, I realised I’d make the heavier parts even more jarring and rage filled. Thus, my angry song for long nailed divas was born. The idea came from a conversation I had in a bar in Nashville months ago with Joey where the song Goodbye Earl by The Chicks came on and he challenged me to write it from my metal perspective. So story wise, it follows a similar idea, if you could save your friend from a terrible man, wouldn’t you? It’s also very self aware in the sense of saying, yes I am beating up a man AGAIN in a song but it’s because they keep doing awful things.”

Attila’s Chris Fronzak launches Tour Soundtrack company in attempt to monetize music played between sets at shows

Published

on

No stranger to out there business’, be it good or bad, Attila’s Chris Fronzak has launched a new company ‘Tour Soundtrack’. Seemingly in an attempt to monetize the music played between sets at concerts and events it appears it gives bands a ‘pay to play’ type attempt to guarantee their song will be played on specific tours.

As of now the only listed tour opportunity is Attila’s upcoming run supporting Slaughter To Prevail and Whitechapel from March 21 through April 22. The site estimates roughly 61,146 attendees will be exposed to music played during that tour, though that number has no backing currently. The rate per song is just under a $1,000 for the full tour.
