Slayer announce 40th Anniversary Reissue of “Hell Awaits” set for May 2026

Slayer will be celebrating 40 years of ‘Hell Awaits’ in 2026 and has now announced a massive reissue for the legendary album. The band will release a massive 3LP box set that will include a reissue of the album, a full live album from 1985, a book, posters, and tons of replicated items from that era.

As the band’s guitarist, co-songwriter, and co-lyricist, he was in the trenches with vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, guitarist Jeff Hanneman (R.I.P.), and drummer Dave Lombardo, creating what has become one of heavy metal’s greatest albums.

Green Day releases 25th anniversary version of ‘Warning’ with new live versions and demos

Its crazy to think its been 25 years since Green Day has released ‘Warning’. The band is celebrating that milestone with a 25th anniversary version, out now, that has loads of live tracks and demos.

The expanded edition includes recently released tracks “Castaway (Demo),” “Blood, Sex and Booze (Live at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo, Japan, March 18, 2001),” “Waiting (Otis Mix),” and more. Check out the full tracklisting below.

Warning (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) comprises 49 songs in total across either 5LPs or 4CDs. The tracklisting spans a brand new remaster of the original album in addition to a plethora of previously unreleased material such as 8 demos, and 2 new mixes on the special B-Sides and Rarities disc, plus an explosive 21-track recording of a standout 2001 concert at SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo, Japan. The latter is an all-killer, no-filler set stacked with huge anthems and fan favorites. For the 5LP version of the Super Deluxe Box Set, the LPs will be pressed on Green Galaxy, Yellow Marble, and Orange Galaxy vinyl. Also included is a 24-page booklet, poster, cloth patch, button set, and sticker sheet. A special D2C and Indie Retailer version also boasts a yellow “Warning” construction sign. Meanwhile, the CD configuration of the Super Deluxe Box Set features a 32-page book, cloth patch, button set, and sticker.

Spiritbox gets nominated for a Grammy for the 3rd year in a row

Spiritbox continues their takeover of heavy music with the news that the band for the 3rd year in a row has been nominated for a Grammy. The band have been nominated for Best Metal Performance for their track “Soft Spine.” Previous nominations were for 2024’s “Jaded” and 2025’s “Cellar Door.”

Spiritbox will hit the road this fall for part two of their North American headline tour, produced by Live Nation, with support from Periphery and Honey Revenge. Tour kicks off November 12 in Ontario, Canada, tickets are available at spiritbox.com.

Lamb Of God release live video for latest single ‘Sepsis’

Lamb Of God have released a live video for their latest single ‘Sepsis’. Taken during the bands performance at this years Aftershow Festival ‘Sepsis’ marks the first new music from the band since 2022.

Directed by Sam Shapiro and Kevin Garcia, the performance took place just one day after the song’s release. Before launching into the three-and-a-half-minute track, Randy Blythe introduced it, saying, “This song is about a national sickness,” as John Campbell, Mark Morton, Willie Adler, and Art Cruz, joined in as the crowd erupted.

Earlier this week, Lamb of God announced the return of their annual Headbangers Boat cruise. The 2026 edition features the GRAMMY® Award-nominated band with an assortment of special guests, including Zakk Sabbath, The Dillinger Escape Plan, In Flames, GWAR, The Haunted, D.R.I., 200 Stab Wounds, X-Cops, Mark Morton, and more to be announced soon. Sleep Token gets nominated for their first two Grammys

Sleep Token has hit another milestone with the news that the band has now been nominated for two Grammys. The band joins alongside the likes of Turnstile, Dream Theatre, and Ghost for Grammys in Metal this year.

The Recording Academy has recognized Sleep Token with:

“Emergence” – Nominated for Best Metal Performance
“Caramel” – Nominated for Best Rock Song

Alongside Sleep Token’s two nominations, II – the band’s drummer – also earns a GRAMMY® nomination for his featured performance on Yungblud’s “Changes (Live From Villa Park).”

Dayseeker announces longtime guitarist Gino Sgambelluri has left the band

Dayseeker has announced that longtime guitarist Gino Sgambelluri has left the band. Gino has been in the band since 2012 and in a statement released the band states the split was mutual. This comes just weeks after the band has released their latest record.

Four Year Strong are back with new music and a heavier sound. Pushing their sound into the heavier, sludgier territory without losing that infectious sensibility that defines them.
