María Zardoya, from indie pop band The Marías, debuts her solo project Not for Radio with the release of her album Melt on October 10. The record blends the dreamy, cinematic sound fans know from The Marías with her own personal twist, mixing gothic, whimsical, and romantic tones. Zardoya describes the project as “her alternate reality,” inviting listeners to reconnect with themselves and the natural world.
In a Vogue interview with Conçetta Ciarlo, María shared that The Marías has always been a 50/50 collaboration between her and bandmate Josh Conway, but with Not for Radio, she wanted full creative control. To make that happen, she teamed up with songwriter Sam Evian and spent three weeks in upstate New York during the dead of winter, a contrast to her usual Los Angeles surroundings.
The visuals for Melt are just as intentional as the music. Zardoya has collaborated with an impressive group of creatives, including visual artist Jaxon Whittington, whose photography carries a dreamy, gothic feel that perfectly complements the album’s atmosphere.
She has also hinted at the possibility of a tour on social media, asking fans if she should take Not for Radio on the road.
Judging by the excitement online, listeners are excited for what is to come.
Roman Candle are continuing their streak of bangers since signing with Sumerian Records with the bands newest song ‘Nothing Is Original’. The band has also dropped a music video to accompany the single.
Speaking on today’s release, vocalist Piper Ferrari shares
“’Nothing Is Original’ was the first song we wrote for the new record, and it set the emotional temperature for everything that followed. Those early lines—‘holier than thou / holier than me’—opened the door to a kind of raw self-interrogation we hadn’t tapped into before. It became the blueprint for the entire album: messy, honest, and painfully human.”
Since joining Sumerian Records, Roman Candle have released the critically acclaimed singles “Fire In The Night Sky Forever.”and “This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun,” establishing themselves as one of the most vital voices in contemporary hardcore. The band has amassed 2.8 million streams across all platforms and 400,000 YouTube views, building a devoted following through relentless live performances and emotionally resonant songwriting.
Rising indie rockers Ratboys are back with ‘What’s Right?’, the bands newest song from their newly announced upcoming new album. ‘Singin’ to an Empty Chair‘ will drop Feb 6th on New West Records. The band will also be hitting the road in early 2026 for a huge headline tour.
“We approached this song like an experiment in the studio, stitching together three different drum performances, in three different-sounding environments, to guide us through some dramatic scene changes within the song,” says Steiner. “We referenced the tight, yet expansive sonics of The War On Drugs and the desert landscapes of Thelma and Louise. The back half of the song came to me in a dream and remains one of the few times that I’ve had the presence of mind to record an idea immediately upon waking. Most of the lyrics and melody came out in that moment, and for that I’m still mystified and extremely grateful.”
Kicking off in February, Ratboys will tour in support of Singin’ to an Empty Chair. A full list of dates can be found below and tickets are selling quickly.

Alter Bridge continue to show why they’ve been a rock staple for so long with their latest track ‘Playing Aces’. The song comes from the bands upcoming self titled album which drops Jan. 9th and features Myles, Tremonti, and company doing what they do best. The band will also be hitting the states this Spring for their biggest headline tour to date.
Myles Kennedy explains: “The term ‘Playing Aces’ ties in with the gambling analogy of risking everything regardless of how many times you’ve failed in life. It’s a last-ditch effort to come out on top.”
Trust In Me” showcases the powerful vocal chemistry between Kennedy and Tremonti, with Myles taking lead on the verses and Mark commanding the chorus—an approach they flip on “Tested and Able,” one of the band’s heaviest introductions to date. “Hang By a Thread” is primed for the live stage, echoing the energy of fan-favorite anthems, while album closer “Slave to Master” delivers an epic finale and marks the longest track the band has ever recorded.

Tigers Jaw has announced their first album since 2011 will be hitting fans on March 27th titled ‘Lost On You’. Marking the occasion the band has dropped the albums first single with ‘Head Is Like A Sinking Stone’.
Their seventh album and follow-up to their critically-acclaimed 2021 LP, I Won’t Care How You Remember Me, was produced/engineered by their longtime collaborator Will Yip (Turnstile, Movements) at his famed Studio 4 in Philadelphia and captures the energy and spirit of the quintet’s live show.
“When I was a kid I had a strange recurring dream of jumping off the high dive at Nay Aug Park pool in Scranton, and after jumping in, time would just sort of freeze and I’d just be stuck there underwater,” says Walsh. “The premise was pretty terrifying but the visual of sunshine reflecting on the ripples of water from the perspective of being beneath the surface was always kind of hauntingly beautiful. The chorus lyric sprung from a recollection of that dream and the rest followed. It serves as a kind of reminder to myself that beauty can be found in unexpected situations.”
Lost on You Tracklist: 1. It’s ok 2. Primary Colors 3. Head is Like a Sinking Stone 4. Anxious Blade 5. Baptized on a Redwood Drive 6. BREEZER 7. Ghost 8. Staring at Empty Faces 9. Light Leaks Through 10. Roses + Thorns 11. Lost on You
Ov Sulfur are back showing off their darkened deathcore sound with their newest song ‘Vast Eternal’. The song comes from the bands upcoming sophomore release ‘Endless’ which drops Jan. 16th.
Guitarist/vocalist Chase Wilson reveals, “Imagine if you died and were all alone in an endless void of nothingness: no friends, no family, just endless dark and loneliness. That’s the mood we wanted to set while writing this song. You can hear that Leviathvn took the reins (his first Ov Sulfur song as lead writer!) with its chaotic black metal chorus and war march verse. This song goes through a mental breakdown, a person losing their sanity in the endless void.”
Vocalist Ricky Hoover affirms the topic, with a dive into the unconscious mind from which the song was birthed. “This song is about dreams I’ve had repeatedly since the passing of my grandma, to whom we dedicated ‘Wither,’ in which my consciousness exists in nothingness forever. In that sleeping world, there’s no Heaven, no Hell after death…just nothingness.”
Paleface Swiss are back at it with new music this time bringing the emotions out heavily with ‘Everything Is Fine’. Truly showcasing their raw emotions this comes as the bands final song from their upcoming ‘The Wilted’ EP which drops Jan. 2nd.
“Everything Is Fine tells the story of two lovers caught in situations they cannot change,” says frontman Marc “Zelli” Zellweger. “They face unfair trials that wound them, yet they try to accept what neither wants to accept. In trying to numb the pain, it only cuts deeper because they keep asking why love fails even when they’ve done everything right.”
