Major League announces first tour in ten years

Published

on

Pop punk favorites Major League reunited last year and have now announced their first full tour in ten years. The band will be hitting the road this year alongside Hit The Lights. The band will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album ‘The Truth Is…‘ while  Hit The Lights will be celebrating 20 years of ‘This Is A Stickup…Don’t Make It A Murder‘.

The band shares: “Our band was lucky enough to be a part of this special scene where community is everything. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t nervous but the excitement to take this family reunion on the road and reconnect with the very people that made this band possible supersedes any apprehension.

La Dispute has announced they’ll be hitting Australia this fall for the ‘No One Was Driving the Car‘ headline tour.

The headline tour sees La Dispute kick it off at the Astor Theatre in Perth on October 16, then over to Victoria at Singing Bird in Frankston on October 18 and 170 Russell in Melbourne on October 19. Guests on the tour are Meanjin/ Brisbane four piece Special FeaturesFull details below.

Six out of the seven shows in Australia are all ages / licensed all ages, harping back to the roots of La Dispute, as vocalist Jordan Dreyer explains;

“All of us were underage when we first started going to local shows at home in West Michigan, and still when attending them pushed us to start writing music together and playing our own. Without venues that were accessible to us, both as attendees and performers, the entire endeavour might’ve died on the vine, and we’d have lost out not only on an important creative outlet as young people, but a welcoming community too. Understanding that possibility, it’s been a priority always to keep our doors open to all comers where possible, so that anyone—including (or especially, really) younger people—have the same opportunities afforded to us at a crucial age.”
