Lollapalooza went out on a bang as two mega stars closed both ends of Chicagos Grant Park with the double header of A$AP Rocky and Sabrina Carpenter.
Sabrina, giving Lolla one of its largest crowds ever, showed why she is pop musics princess right now. Blasting through the hits on a stage show that fits her vibes perfectly she sounded fantastic and had the crowd going for every step she took. She also brought out Chicagos own Earth, Wind, and Fire for a special guest moment as well that had the crowd going crazy.
On the opposite end of the field though in the opposite genre was A$AP Rocky. Working past a slight late start and delay after one song due to pyro malfunction, he blasted through a set with tons of pyro, smoke, and a stage design giving the crowd tons of energy. While the crowd themselves were going crazy, the crowd crush was real with A$AP stating several times to open it up and let security in to help those who need it.
The busy star of the day was Rebecca Black though. Playing a miday DJ set at Perrys stage, she also headlined the Titos stage later the same day though playing a set of her pop music. With a minimal stage design and two back up dancers Black proved why shes made such a rabid fan base and her ‘Friday’ days are long behind her.
Multi person groups though held the throne for mid day sets though. All boy k pop group BoyNextDoor played a smaller side stage that was too small for their fan base who sang along to every word while the group danced through their set.
Across the field after them though was all girls pop group Katseye who did the same giving fans nonstop moments of freaking out.
