Since his first 2021 release “cold.” alongside danny G and smittyztop, Nashville singer-songwriter Knox has become a pop sensation and is currently on tour with THE WLDLFE – you buy tickets here.
Taking off from TikTok after releasing the supremely catchy single “Sneakers” in 2022, the pop-punk loving Knox Morris got himself signed with Atlantic Records and now sits at a comfortable 1.4M monthly Spotify listeners with his brand new album Going, Going, Gone (available for purchase here) released earlier this month on April 4th. Pop-rock trio The Band Camino took him out on tour after hearing the 2022 single themselves and he’s been exploding like a pop supernova ever since. The success didn’t appear out of nowhere, though – Knox told Grammy.com “I played in a Jimmy John’s, like, 15 times” covering Ed Sheeran songs.
The new record has hits “You Happened”, “Happy Ever After All”, and “Pick Your Poison” (although each song is catchier than anything I’ve heard recently) and continues to garner fans worldwide as Knox continues performing on his 2025 tour. The remaining dates are below.

Gorillaz have dropped their third single from their upcoming album ‘The Mountain’ this time teaming up with IDLES. The record features an extraordinary list of artists and collaborators including: Ajay Prasanna, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash, Anoushka Shankar, Asha Bhosle, Asha Puthli, Bizarrap, Black Thought, Gruff Rhys, IDLES, Jalen Ngonda, Johnny Marr, Kara Jackson, Omar Souleyman, Paul Simonon, Sparks, Trueno and Yasiin Bey; as well as the voices of friends and collaborators who have gone before us, including Bobby Womack, Dave Jolicoeur, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith, Proof and Tony Allen.
Written by Damon Albarn and Joe Talbot and recorded in London, Devon and Mumbai, with Ajay Prasanna on bansuri and percussion by Viraj Acharya, “The God of Lying” sees the IDLES frontman bring his maverick charisma to a dub-style vocal that delivers a list of questions and scant consolation to tap into the album’s underlying themes of societal and political unease.
Gorillaz frontman 2D said – “Can I tell you a secret? Doubt is very tiring but questioning things is really good for you.”
Jimmy Eat World have announced that their previously digital only singles will be released on vinyl in the new ‘Something(s) Loud’ EP along with their newest single ‘Failure’. Being a band that still loves physical media this marks the band making their release official now for fans to get their hands on.
The EP will include “Something Loud,”“Place Your Debts,” and a cover of Crooked Fingers’ “Call to Love” (featuring Bethany Cosentino), along with an acoustic version of “Something Loud” and a TW Walsh remix of “Place Your Debts.”
Rounding out the EP is a never-before-released track, “Failure,” (originally recorded in 2019 for the Surviving sessions — co-produced by Jimmy Eat World and Justin Meldal Johnsen and engineered/mixed by the band Failure’s co-founder and vocalist, Ken Andrews.
Reflecting on the songs that ultimately made it onto the EP, Jim Adkins explains, “By 2021, it felt like distancing restrictions were finally easing and we could get back on the road. Our Surviving album had barely been released before we were performing live again and reconnecting with fans. Coming out of the pandemic, it didn’t feel right to tour without offering something more, so we took the chance to share a few more tracks we’d been working on. At the time, it seemed like listeners were gravitating toward playlists rather than full albums, so we decided to meet them where they were.” The Something(s) Loud EP will drop on Friday, November 14, 2025, via the band’s own Exotic Location Recordings. Standard vinyl and a limited number of signed copies are available for pre-order exclusively through the band’s webstore. Pre-order (HERE
As a Halloween treat to fans Alkaline Trio dropped a new single with ‘Surprise Surprise’. This marks the third and final of the singles produced by Travis Barker and made into special 7 inch releases.
Trio singer and guitarist Matt Skiba said of the song, “‘Surprise Surprise’ was inspired by and written for a friend of mine who grew up poor and entrenched in gang life only to become a Navy SEAL and eventually an astronaut. It’s his story combined with my own thoughts regarding how a sort of alchemy takes place when someone takes the experiences of a bad situation and is able to turn them into something profound and beautiful. The rough sketch of the song had only verse and chorus parts but no bridge which was written by Dan in the studio. This song was the last one of the three we did in this session with Travis Barker and was even more of a collaboration and studio creation than the previous two.”
Travis Barker said of the sessions, “Recording with Alkaline Trio was such a treat. Bringing these songs to life from the demos Matt recorded was so exciting. Both Matt and Dan are incredible lyricists, two of my all-time favorites. The studio never feels like work, just a magical place to create. The process was so natural and easy, I could’ve kept going forever. Really proud of these songs me, Matt, Dan, and Atom recorded. Excited for what’s ahead for Alkaline Trio and for fans to hear these special songs we made.”
During last nights Babymetal headline show at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California the band invited Spiritboxs Courtney LaPlante on stage for the live debut of ‘My Queen’ together. While the band has played it a few times this tour it marks the first time the collab has happened together on stage.
