Critically acclaimed indie folk duo Penny & Sparrow have announced a spring 2026 tour. The band will also be kicking off their fall headlining run this week as well. You can find all dates below.
Just last week, the band releasedPancho, a collection of alternate versions from their album Lefty, now available on all streaming platforms.
The band says, “Pancho is an album full of alternate “Lefty” songs. Some have been remixed by friends, some are stripped down demos, a few have been fully re-recorded with new directions, and some (like “Jeopardy”) are live versions we recorded as part of “Up Late with Lefty”. Because we wanted a unique way to do live one-take videos, we created a late night show, asked our buddy Tony Hale to be the host, and cast ourselves as the musical guest over and over again. It was an absolute blast… hope yall enjoy those tracks as much as we do.”

Rising punk act chokecherry has announced they’ll be releasing their debut album ‘Ripe Fruit Rots and Falls‘ Nov. 14th. The band has also dropped their newest single ‘Major Threat’, which is an instantly catchy surf punk anthem, with a music video to accompany it.
“I grew up on heavy surf punk — hello, Southern California — and this track brings me back to 2016-era mosh pits at the Teragram Ballroom in L.A. or the Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara,” Clark explains, tearing back the curtain and inviting the listener to fully immerse themself into the experience of the song. “Vocally, I was very inspired by Brendan Yates (Turnstile) and Zack de La Rocha (Rage Against the Machine). The inspiration for the track came from a (fleeting) feeling of being discarded. The accompanying video is co-directed and pokes fun at the hell that is the 21st century dating scene.”
Levinson weights in, saying, “‘Major Threat’ is one of the few currently recorded chokecherry tracks that really allows listeners to dip their toes into our live energy. This includes mosh pits, screaming, and running into the crowd mid-song. It’s a direct homage to the scenes that shaped us and continue to do so, calling on inspirations like Turnstile and Mannequin Pussy.”
She continues, “Of course, the bridge is packed out with classic chokecherry harmonies and layers, and the track concludes with a last-minute twist. The final lyrics are a nod to the toxic cycle of craving something (or someone) that’s rejecting you; it hurts like hell and drives you crazy, but in the end, getting left is probably for the best.”
Lord Of The Lost continue to make a name for themselves and have now dropped a haunting new ballad track with ‘One Of Us Will Be Next’. This comes from the bands upcoming album ‘OPVS NOIR Vol. 2‘ which comes out December 12, 2025 via Napalm Records.
Chris Harms about “One Of Us Will Be Next”: “In the middle of a concert last year, I suddenly realized: one of us in this venue will be the next to go. On their way home that night, a few weeks later, maybe in a couple of months or years. But inevitably, one of us will be the next to die, and we will never come together again in the exact same constellation. The same goes for every family gathering, every party with friends, and even time spent as a couple. ‘One Of Us Will Be Next’ is a plea not to dwell on the past or search for happiness in a better future, but to be grateful for every moment, the present, and the company we find ourselves in at any given time—and to meet people with that very awareness. Because every word could be our last, at any moment.”

Show Me The Body have dropped a cover of the legendary Beastie Boys track ‘Sabotage’. The band has also teamed up with Popular Front to help put out a video to accompany it.
The visual interweaves footage from Show Me The Body’s recent pop-up show in London’s Southwark Park (presented by Popular Front) with archival footage from the organization.
On the collaboration with Popular Front, Show Me The Body’s Julian Cashwan Pratt says:
“I support and consume independent journalism in general, but full disclosure, I am a straight up a fan of Popular Front. Their crew does hard work to tell true stories, or as they put it “honest reporting.” To work together on “Sabotage” is a self-fulfilling prophecy. New York band with a New York song reaching out to the world at war with a message of love and solidarity.”
The lineage of the “Sabatoge” cover dates back to August 2023, when the band played a surprise show at Tompkins Square Park and debuted the cover during their set. The cover arrives ahead of their Body War 10th anniversary release show at 99 Scott in Brooklyn on October 17th, coinciding with the release of the special anniversary edition of Body War vinyl. The show will feature a lineup of all New Yorkers, including Roc Marciano, Wiki, Fatal Realm, Baby Osama, Ferment, alongside SMTB.
