Film Review : Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Death & Porridge (2024)

I really question sometimes why I watch movies through to the end and this is one of them.

I can only assuming they are piggybacking off the trend of bringing childhood icons who are in the public domain now to horror and are trying to do it with childhood stories.

The story here which barely functions enough consists of Goldilocks and her Three Bears (men with bear masks) who murder people when another group gets lost in the woods and stumbles upon their house. That is the entire premise of the story.

From there we just get boring deaths and a horribly boring film. Half way through and nothing happens. Dialog is horrendous, no one has even the slightest character depth, and it even comes across as a film that no one wanted to make.

When we finally meet our bad guys, it comes across as a rip off of The Strangers before we are treated to some horribly prolonged dialog from our Goldilocks.

Its hard to find any redeeming factor here. Coming in at a time to try to ride others coat tails this is just painful to get through and should be avoided at all costs.
