Polka punks The Dreadnoughts drop new single ‘Sierra’

Polka Punks is a term you don’t hear thrown away often but it works with an act like The Dreadnoughts. The group has just dropped their new single “Sierra’. This is the second single from the bands upcoming album ‘Polka Pit’ which drops Sept. 19th.

“‘Sierra’ combines two of the greatest musical genres: the sea shanty and the murder ballad,” says vocalist Nicholas Smyth. “It’s a tale of a lovesick sailor who makes a very bad decision.”

Known for their electrifying live shows, the band will celebrate the album’s release with a blowout performance at Skully’s Music Diner in Columbus, OH on September 19. Tickets on sale now via:
