Jim Root (Slipknot) talks new music and no more tours coming up in new interview
Slipknots Jim Root was recently a guest on the ‘Turning Wrenches’ podcast and while the 2 hour long interview may be more focused on car talk the guitarist still dropped some new info on whats going on in the Slipknot camp.
Root talks about wanting no more tours this fall or as of now in 2026 so that the band can get back into the studio, talks about how its hard to get everyone together while also making sure the hired guns of the band still make money, and how he has some new music cooking up thats ready for the band to get their hands on. He also states how for Slipknots next release he’d love to go back to the older more aggressive sound of the few first releases the band did.
