Japanese metalcore act Crystal Lake release new album ‘The Weight Of Sound’, out now
Long time favorites Crystal Lake have now officially released their latest album ‘The Weight Of Sound’. This marks the bands seventh studio album and is put out by Century Media Records.
Packed with 11 tracks, the album captures the quintet at their most dynamic, innovative, and emotionally charged. It is also the first studio album since John took over vocals for the band in 2023 and includes 5 tracks having guest spots including David Simonich, Jesse Leach, Myke Terry, Taylor Barber, and Karl Schubach.
Guitarist and founder YD shares about the album:

Vocalist John adds:
”This whole new album is about the ups and downs of my life. The most personal I’ve ever been on a record. A lot of the lyrics reference each other. I wouldn’t call it conceptual, but it’s definitely a poetic diary-esque journey into my life. I cried while writing 80% of these songs. I died a little bit again with each word. As I wrote, I relived. This is the real me. The story of a man you love to hate. Enjoy.”
