Green Day kicks off Superbowl with quick 4 song set
Green Day kicked off the Superbowl celebrations today before the game with a quick 4 song set hitting off some of their biggest hits and fan favorites.
They kicked the set off with ‘Good Riddance’ (Time Of Your Life), while an assortment of MVPs walked onto the field, before kicking it up a notch into ‘Holiday’. They capped it off with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and then “American Idiot.”
Fans expecting the often outspoken Billie Joe Armstrong to voice his thoughts, as he did earlier this week, were left out as he cut out the verse change of American Idiot and talking section of Holiday.
