With the end of Springfield taking over Fortnite we wanted to look back at what is easily not only Fortnites best mini season yet but one of their best seasons overall.
Springfield fully took over Fortnites map which was a refreshing change of pace. We were fully thrust into the world of Homer and company in a way that gave us 100% of that iconic shows attention instead of just being sprinkled across the map in small areas. It was bright and colorful instantly making you feel as if you were a part of the longest running animated show in history.
Full of details and quips that only the most diehard of fans could catch while still being instantly accessible for even the most casual of Simpsons fan was a nice balance here. Yes the game did get even more ‘sweaty’ than normal even calling on Epic to address it but that should also show just how much people enjoyed it.
They did a great job making a story line around Homer to include in the overall games lore as well as constant mid season updates including falling doughnuts and Homer Clones.
A battle pass and extras worth completing and some great item shop characters were also fun even if I didn’t personally enjoy mech Lisa and Bart.
Hopefully this isn’t the last time either that we see Springfields faithful make their way into the game.
