I feel at this point I must subject myself to every type of these open domain horror rip offs. At least Mouse Of Horrors, while being terrible, is the fun type of terrible.
Doing my best to explain a story here, we follow a group of people who sneak into a carnival where there is a man in a mutated like Mickey Mouse mask, Winnie The Pooh, and a mad scientist killing people and collecting body parts to build to build a woman.
The story here really makes no sense. They seem to be humans behind a mask but they also have seemingly supernatural abilities and teleport around like its nothing and time seemingly shifts from day to night and back between the same scenes. The mouse can track people he didn’t even seemingly know existed and this isn’t even getting into why Winnie The Pooh from the first Blood and Honey film is involved here, or isn’t, and its just the same mask.
That being said at least the kills here are sometimes fun. The film is pretty much just a kill reel jumping from one to another. While some kills look terrible and the CGI can be awful, the practical effects here are not too shabby. Our Mouse here also is seemingly having a best doing his best Art The Clown impersonation.
While by no means is it good, Mouse Of Horrors is at least bad fun enough to stand out in a sub genre of horror being plagued with complete garbage.
